About Selectopicks
Who we are, what we test, and why you can check our work.
Selectopicks compares the software and services people actually spend money on, and publishes the scorecard behind every ranking. The premise is simple: a comparison site is only worth reading if you can see how it reached its conclusion.
What we do
We pick a category people struggle to buy in, work out what actually separates the products, then score every brand in it against the same rubric. The result is a ranked shortlist, a full review of each brand, and the pricing detail that usually sits three clicks deep on a vendor's own site.
We publish the weights, the verification date on every price, and the drawback of every product we recommend. Where we have not finished assessing a brand, we say so on the page and withhold the score rather than guessing one.
What we will not do
We do not sell placement. Rank is produced by score, and a brand cannot buy its way up the page or out of a criticism. Our commercial model is set out in full, and our editorial standards cover sourcing, corrections and how content is produced.
Who we are
Selectopicks is published by SelectoPicks LLC. The site is independent and is not owned by, funded by, or operated on behalf of any of the brands it ranks.
Reviews are produced by our editorial desk. Pricing and product claims are checked against the vendor's own published material, and each review names the source it was verified against.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and pricing in these categories changes constantly. If you find an error, write to hello@selectopicks.com with the page and the detail. Substantive corrections are made to the page and noted on it.
